I can not share my favorite names because I do not want anyone using them. Thus far, I have only met one other child with my DD's name. Everyone tells us what a cool name she has. I have met a few of my DS's name, and I think it may be getting more popular. I hope not or I am changing his name to his other very cool middle name. Both of their names are family names, which I think is the best way to find a great name with meaning.

Please, tell me this is a joke post. Anyone who would change their kid's name simply to make him sound "more cool" has some issues beyond their relative hipness to deal with...

I have also heard Teagan and Keegan on quite a few boys. I love Irish boy names.

My DD's name is Riley (of course, I thought it was somewhat unusual at the time). My DH is Irish and most of the grandkids have Irish names - we have a Keegan in the family.

We are expecting:
Boy: Payton (form of DH's name - Patrick) and Bradon (DH doesn't like)
Girl: Payton or Haley

May keep looking, but we seem to both really like these names.

I am old so I have no idea what DD or DH means (go ahead laugh) but anyway I like Payton for a boy and Haley for a girl. Good Luck!

My son's name is Teagan his cousins name is Keegan and he has two best friends one is Teagan and the other Keegan. The funniest thing is that they all kind of look alike. I gave my son this name thinking he wouldn't run into this problem. They are both great names though.

just because someone wants to have a different name for their child doesn't mean that they have issues I think it's great that not EVERYONE is a follower. Unfortunatly this is becoming a trend and unusual names are no longer unusual. My friends in high school had unusual names and I always though it was great. Here are some ideas if anyone is interested. Bennette(my favorite),Felicity,Aliana,Nayla,Georgette, Jericka.

I have only heard of Riley for a boy. It is originally a boys name but is becoming a unisex name because of this trend of parents giving their girls boys names. I think that it is tacky and I would never follow a trend or copy someone else. I also hear Devon a lot for a girl doesn't mean it's a girls name it is simply a boys name on a girl.

Boy: Henry

Girl: Riley

Eww no. I would use Riley for a boy.

Ericka was always my favorite name, has anyone ever met an ugly, unpopular Ericka Noooooooooo. If I have a daughter that is what I would name her it would be so cute because her fathers name is Eric.

My son's name is Colton. I don't know any other children with the name. Most common reaction I get to it is that it is a very strong name. I hope it doesn't start popping up all over now though.

Other names I like are Brennan, Beckett, Crawford, and Paxton.

I really like the names Quincy (Quinn for short) Callay for a girl
and Reilley (Lee for short) Joseph for a boy
