You ALMOST had it until the last sentence. Israel is the only party to this conflict in control. The so-called threat of a massacre of Israelis is the most outlandish nonsense ever, completely unrealistic and you know it. It is a distraction from the fact that ISRAEL HAS NO INCENTIVE TO CREATE PEACE WITH ANYONE AS LONG AS THEY HAFR UNCONDITIONAL U.S. SUPPORT.

I yelled that in case you’re hard of hearing. You’re welcome.

But Israelis were massacred, back on Oct 7, no? So it’s actually realistic — and actually happened within the last year. Do you mean the annihilation of ALL Israelis is unrealistic and non sensical?

Oh, so you’re arguing that the killing of almost exactly 1/100th of 1% of Israeli non-combatants is a massacre, but the killing of over 1% of Palestinian non-combatants in Gaza, not to mention the 80% who are now unhoused, the tens of thousands suffering from serious injury, and the hundreds of thousands living in famine … what is that? Is that enough to equate to a massacre too, bearing in mind (I’m assuming) that you don’t conceal the fact that you hold Jewish life in higher regard than non-Jewish life?

Or is that just, queue the propaganda, “no fault of Israel’s”?

Oh man, honestly I was just trying to understand your statement that a Jewish massacre would be impossible. I just looked up the dictionary definition of massacre, and yes, I believe Oct 7 was a massacre.

I can see you are passionate but you are not able to have a civil conversation. Instead, you accuse me of valuing Israeli life over Palestinian life… wtf man. That’s messed up. Recognizing that Israelis got slaughtered on Oct 7 doesn’t mean I hate Palestinians. Take a breath my dude.

Just for the record I think what Israel is doing to Palestinians is absolutely horrific.

I think the PP you are responding to is basically crazy.

Boring. Surely you can do better than the lazy tactic of trying to discredit someone as “crazy” because they are poking holes in your agenda and showering you with inconvenient information?

I don’t really have an agenda. I came to this thread because I was curious about the protestors on university campuses. I’m a politically moderate registered Democrat and this thread has convinced me that the protestors don’t have a lot of broader support. I don’t want Trump elected but I think people like you are going to hand the presidency to the Republicans.

You responded totally irrationally to a reasonable point. That makes you crazy. Sorry.

Sure, you sound really skilled at rendering judgement regarding a mental disturbance Dx based on the posts above. No agenda at all, definitely not.

That is the normie moderate position that I think most people - including this Jewess here - would take.

But we are not the loudest voices.

No it’s not the normie moderate position. It’s the position of those who want to assuage their own guilt and immense internal pressure on what their values are and what they are aligning with.

Nothing much changes with the removal of Netanyahu in Israel, if anything Netanyahu is a moderate in a cabinet of terrorists. State sponsored terrorism, militarism, dehumanization of “Arabs” is deeply entrenched in Israeli society and enshrined in Israeli laws.

So I guess you missed the lead up to last November, with protests and soldiers refusing to be called up over the summer? Netanyahu was nearly forced out?

He is not a moderate.

I think the PP is just so passionate about Palestinians that they can’t see straight. I made the simple statement that Oct 7 was a tragedy (a massacre) and they responded with “ah-ha! So you hate Palestinians!”

You can’t have a rational discussion with someone like that.

For the record - I totally agree with you. And, instead of replying with cogent arguments, pp replies with snarky responses intended to insult.
And, she seems to need to have the last word. Even though she cannot defend her position. She doesn't want to admit that there was indeed a massacre of Jews on Oct. 7 and Hamas has vowed to do it again and again.

Well worth watching for a primer on how NOT to behave.

Interfere with an officer making an arrest.

Slap that officer on the head.

Refuse police commands.

Wet your pants.

Confess on camera.

Truly remarkable idiocy.

Basically a privileged white woman feeling entitled to put her hands on working-class cops of all races and scold them while they are trying to do their job of enforcing the law…..Is she Professor Karen or Comrade Karen?

Nope. You can’t. And the PP does represent a good number of the student protestors, which is why these protests aren’t resonating with the larger population.
