Anyone have any recommendations for a camp or workshop, etc just for 1v1 training? I saw that SYC offers one on Saturday’s but my kid plays for them and has only ever attended camps, etc offered by our club.
Looking to branch out outside our club for training. |
Depending on their age and experience, I find that structured 1v1 coaching is helpful for breaking down proper body mechanics and correcting bad habits before they lock in. But really the true magic happens when they take those coached tools and test them freely in low stakes pickup games where they can fail, experiment, and build genuine creativity. Hopefully you can find both this summer. At least VSA, McLean, Arlington, HP Elite have all offered such classes but a couple haven’t updated their clinic offerings for the summer just yet on their website. |
| Find a trainer on coachup.com. You can find a trainer that suits your locale/needs. I've had a great (and very tailored) experience with it. |
I am not a fan of SYC but that looks like a great program. If it weren’t on Saturday’s during the summer, we would test it out. |
