What bike does your young teen have?

| My child has outgrown her Guardian bike. She loooooves her Guardian bike. We're going to try the adult version but its reviews are horrible. What under $600 bikes do people here recommend for a 5' tall teen girl (who is likely to grow another 2-3 inches)? |

Bad idea if you know nothing about bikes. Go to a bike shop or REI. |

| We bought our 12-year-old a new Trek Marlin 4, size S - that's geared for 5'-5'6" - got it from the Trek store, added a kickstand and water bottle cage, came to a bit over $600 last summer. There are a lot of these on FB Marketplace and Craigslist - I'd recommend trying out the size at the Trek store, then buying a lightly used one. |
