Why do you need a realtor for this? Just go on Zillow, and see what’s available. I’m a SFH landlord in upper NW, and I ignore inquiries from realtors because most of the time they want a commission from me. Been doing it this way for 30 years and never had a problem tenant.

Please, somewhere else. The area doesn’t need renters.

Most realtors here don't do renters. They don't make any money. I had a realtor help me but she only did it because we were friends.

I regret to inform you that I'm posting from an apartment building in Woodley Park. So you already have renters.

And where the f have you been in regards to Glover Park? In my day, Glover Park was where southern postgrads would hole up with five other kids from their fraternity/sorority in an old rowhome.

Agent here: there are quite a few available rentals in the areas you are listing. If school zones are important to you, I would start with which schools you are prioritizing and then look in those neighborhoods. Price ranges are around $2200 - $4000 depending on size and specific type of home (condo vs townhouse).

Consider also if you would like corporate management vs an individual landlord. There are plusses and minuses to each.

Expect an agent to charge you one month's rent or a retainer fee. Budget for that on top of the deposit, etc. The landlord doesn't cover this fee.

Welcome to DC!

Realtors are a racket. You can look at the listings yourself.

(Also, do NOT go with Marjorie Dick Stuart.)
