The Americans I know working abroad are working for State. Some have had to separate, taking one parent and kids back to the US because their jobs were about to be cut, and leaving the spouse working alone abroad. Some are working for very problematic Ambassadors, and just keeping a low-key profile (hanging their head in shame).
So. Not great. Hopefully happier Americans will chime in. |
