Interesting piece. Have seen this pop up now and then. Speaking to younger families/couples anecdotally I find this to be true also. Thoughts? |

I've been seeing this recently.
I would have been happy either way but really wanted a son and got one. To each their own I guess. |
| I haven't noticed this. Some young people get very opinionated about what they want but it usually wanes by the time they are ready to have kids and are more mature. |
| When species are struggling to survive, reproduction favors female babies. |
| I'm mid-30's so my friends and I are in the thick of having kids. I haven't seen this. Everyone I know wants at least one of each. |
| Most women want a daughter unless they are part of a subculture or ethnicity that views males as superior. |
Mars needs women... |
|
Watch the Netflix series “ Adolescence.”
It exposes what boys are really like today, and also why no one wants to have one. |
| I wanted boys. I subconsciously beloved that boys were just better, easier, and more desirable. |
|
Boys inevitabl grow up to be addicted to violent video games, and then they turn into incels, after joining the manosphere on social.
Girls cant be part of the manosphere by definition. |
| The only thing I’ve seen is that people are really dead set on having at least “one of each.” People will stop at 2 kids if they have a boy and a girl, but the couples I usually see going for 3+ are trying for a boy after 2 girls or a girl after 2 boys. And I feel like most of the time they just end up with 3-4 girls or boys anyway! |
BS. Stop believing everything you see on TV. I have one of each and they’re both wonderful. I know lots of equally amazing teen boys. |
This is very, very evitable. |
I'm currently pregnant with my second boy and I get "are you going to try again for a girl" from random people (not people I'm close to at all) all the time. It's honestly a bit weird. |
