Tip amount for catering set up

Anonymous
Trying to figure out how much to tip a caterer who is delivering food and setting up.

It's barbecue and 2 sides and they are delivering and setting up (4 trays in total). Everything is disposable and they don't need to come back to collect any serving trays.

Total cost is about $1200 and I was thinking $150 tip, but don't want to be cheap. I don't think it will take more than 20-30 minutes to set up the 4 wire racks, sterno, and aluminum trays so I think that's a pretty good tip, but we've never done this before so wanted to see what was standard.

I generally tip pretty well and I don't think I'd go over $50.
How long will it take them to set up?

I’m guessing 30 minutes at the most to set up. Maybe $150 was too much. Thanks for the feedback.

I think $150 is a good tip if they are on time, set everything out looking presentable AND the food is tasty too. 😋

No offense but fifty dollars would be an insult as a tip.
