protein shake- tips

Anonymous
I like the idea of making a protein shake for breakfast. I’d like to add some greens and fruit for added vitamins and fiber, and chia seeds for more fiber.

Should I stir in the chia seeds after I blend the protein powder, liquid, fruit and ice, or is it fine to add those before blending?

Also, any tips on flavor combos? Ideally I’d use chocolate protein powder and berries or banana, but not sure if any greens work with that flavor.

Eat real food, not powders. Want protein, have eggs omelet, hard boiled, over easy, scrambled, make egg bites on the weekend and put them in the freezer to easily grab and go on a week day. Have cottage cheese or yogurt, or make a breakfast burrito. Have oatmeal and add all the seeds, plus fruit and maybe even a nut butter. You are better off eating whole fruit than making fruit into a smoothie

You can tell that you just try to force your opinions on others even when not asked for. If you want to try to show DCUM how awesome you are at breakfast ideas...create you own thread as a sock puppet. Otherwise, do your best to answer the question that is being asked.

If you're using chia seeds, consider making chia pudding with your favorite non-dairy "milk." It's super easy, and you can add all sorts of good things . . . nuts, fresh or dried fruit.
