ASD and the unwritten rules of the road

The drivers manual says you do not cross the double yellow line. How do I explain the unwritten accepted protocol of going around a cyclist when it is safe?

Sigh. I know. And it's like this for EVERYTHING. I admit, sometimes I yell. He ends up getting it, but only after repeated mess-ups and in the case of driving, nearly causing accidents on the road.

Stay strong, OP.

There are programs that are virtual driving experience in situations like this. One is ASD Drive Ready. I haven't used them ( dc is young, but I have heard of it) but you could Google it for your area.
