It's very clever, and I will watch anything with Matthew Rhys. I love how they are incorporating tropes in such a tongue-in-cheek way. There are some real lol moments.

Nevertheless, it's not as great as what I was expecting.

I watched a preview and couldn't stand the way Matthew Rhys was talking. He sounds like he has some sort of weird affectation here.

Matthew Argus is welsh. Have you ever heard him interviewed on tv? He sounds nothing like the characters he plays.

We are loving this. It’s not as unhinged as Welcome to Nightvale but if you enjoy that kind of horror/comedy mashup you’ll enjoy Widow’s Bay. Casting for the supporting roles is outstanding.

Yes? I’m assuming you’re responding to me, the poster who said he had a weird affectation in this role. Which he does.

I love this show. It’s not at all something I would typically watch, but it’s quite funny and Matthew Rhys is wonderful. The episodes are fairly short which is another plus!

I could not get into this at all. I think the genre of comedy horror is just not for me.

It truly is.

Who in the supporting cast do you find outstanding? Honestly curious. I feel like it is the Matthew Rhys show. For example, I love the actor who played Joel on Somebody Somewhere, and so far he is completely underused in this show.

I’ve just watched the first episode and was pleasantly surprised to find myself laughing out loud in several parts. I agree that the supporting cast is outstanding. Not sure if that’s enough to keep me watching but I’ll give it another few episodes.

Honestly, the person who annoys me the most is Matthew Rhys! He always has such an annoying voice and cheesy smile.

Also - love that Stephen Root is in it (Milton from Office Space, among other things).

Last night was good, I like episodes that focus on a side character (like Nick Offerman in the Last of Us).

Though he wasn't a side character per say, just another person who survived the apocalypse.
