Thoughts on these girl names?

Anonymous
Our top six list of girls names is below, but we are having trouble deciding. Will welcome all thoughts - the good, the bad, and the ugly. In no particular order:

Elizabeth
Felicity
Georgianna (nn Georgie)
Cecily
Louisa
Anna

These are all nice.

I find Elizabeth a little dull at this point but there's nothing wrong with it, it's among the safest possible names.

I have a personal distaste for girls with "boy" names or nicknames so I would internally roll my eyes at Georgie. But that's a me thing.

The others I like a lot.

GeorgiaNa, nn Anna is a great choice.

Elizabeth: great nicknames, but you won’t necessarily like her choice.
Felicity: nice
Cecily: “the ugly”
Louisa: beautiful

Georgianna and Cecily are a little too precious for me but the others are all nice. Would you use a nickname for Elizabeth and if so what? And does it go with your last name? Some people really like stuff like alliterate first and last names (like “Betsy Brown”) and others think that’s too cutesy. Just something to keep in mind.

No Felicity.

My vote is for Louisa!

OP here. Our last name is simple (think Smith or Jones) but wouldn’t be alliterative with any of these names. Not sure on a nickname for Elizabeth. I like Liza. My DH likes Liz.

I like Cecily, and you can nn CeCe or Lilly if you want.
I really dislike Louisa and Georgianna, sorry.

At one point in my life I went through a phase watching a lot of BBC period pieces. All these names sound like they'd fit in one of those stories. My thoughts, not bad or good, just what I think....

These 2 names feel very English, you might get asked if the family has English heritage :
Felicity
Georgianna (nn Georgie)

Common but nice traditional name with options for many nicknames :
Elizabeth

Reminds me of the Paul Simon song Cecilia, personally all the women I have heard of with this name are Catholic and mostly old nuns :
Cecily

Works on both sides of the pond :
Louisa
Anna

Cecily makes me think of “The Importance of Being Earnest” - a play in which names figure heavily!

Can you wait until you see her to name her? My daughter was an obvious “xx” the moment she emerged.

Louisa is really cute!

Personally? I don't love girls names that are a feminized version of boys names. So that leaves Elizabeth, Felicity, and Anna. I assume you're young enough that your cohort's minds won't go instantly to Keri Russel's breakout hit, but what about the doll? Elizabeth and Anna are ... safe.

But that's ok! They're all fine choices. No stinkers in the bunch

I love all of these!
Gigi is the nickname I know for Georgiana, but I like Georgie (and I don’t usually like boy names on girls).

Felicity is probably my favorite. I’ve never seen one in real life. Never met a Cecily or a Louisa either.

That’s a weird dislike. Are you opposed to girls being named Leslie, Ashley, Allison, Beverly or Madison, which were traditionally male names?

And change Georgianna to Georgia.
