Did anyone watch and get a sense for where they'd land?
Unfortunately, I had the wrong time and missed it. |
| 5-2 to nullify is my guess based on hearing part of the session |
| I'm sure this will go to scotus. |
How? The arguments are all about VA constitutional provisions. |
Have you seen the lawsuits from Trump and his allies? Do you think they actually care about the legitimacy of the law or its process? They use lawfare. Look at how many times they have tried to go after Comey (and still trying) even though they had no legal standing. |
| Might as well get going on the next referendum, just in case this one fails. And we make it permanent. |
No it will not. SCOTUS said years ago that partisan gerrymandering is fine and dandy. |
Roberts can always find a way to corrupt the system |
Yup. If they are going to fight this over stupid procedural crap then that seems like the best next course of action. |
I listened to it. I thought the state's lawyer did a terrible job. But, I think only two judges asked questions. I really don't think the hearing will have much impact. They will vote how they vote. This hearing was all about process and the number of days stuff when the referendum was voted on Is the election on voting day or when early voting starts was the big question. |
| Dear Dems sad day |
