Boeing HQ is staying. Only their defense business unit is going to St Louis (which is where a military aircraft factory is located).

When you pay people to live in your community, they don't have a vested interest in the community.

+1000 this problem is entirely due to the delusional people that vote for politicians with destructive luxury beliefs. Paying rent for people who can't afford to live here invites crime and disorder. The county should zero out the housing rental assistance program budget or make dedicate the assistance exclusively to low-income senior citizens.

It's only going to get worse with Spanberger. Companies are going to locate in places like Texas instead of Virginia.

The teen crime is mostly not Arlington residents.
The arrest reports say DC.
Thank you Metro.
So read the crime reports.

Move TF out if it's so terrible.

This is true, but also Arlington elected a Commonwealth Attorney that ran on not prosecuting petty crimes. VA used to have a reputation that if you were caught they would throw the book at you. Without the threat of serious punishment, we have a lot more theft and other property crimes.

I was at a conference in “North Bethesda” aka Rockville and I was honestly shocked by the amount of bustling restaurants and stores. Maybe nothing that would meet Arlington snoot requirements (lots of small chains etc) but there was so much money being spent! Made me sad that we can’t get it together in Arlington

We’re regulating small businesses to death, making it impossible for them to get going or make money. It’s terrible. We end up doing most of our fun in FCC that actually welcomes businesses instead of making it as hard as possible to get a toe hold.
