I grew up in Baltimore county. Great childhood. Not an affluent area, just a middle class town.
We would go to Baltimore city for events, going out to bars as a young adult in Fells Point, etc… I’ve been in NOVA 25+ years. Yesterday, I went to opening day at Orioles Park. Wow has Baltimore changed. Fights, huge out of control parties and crowds, at least 4-5 people lying on the ground (not homeless). Chaos and uncontrolled. Scary. I had daydreams about moving back one day, maybe near Locust Point. Now I hear Kevin Plank pulling out of that area and it will have a commercial impact. Tell me about Baltimore if you live there. And where. I have euphoric recall and memories of a place that’s no longer there or safe. |
| What a weird post. Baltimore 25 years ago was much worse than today. Wild kids running around? Take a look at Owings Mills or the Towson mall on a weekend. |
| OP here. Yeah not kids running around - this felt flat out unsafe. Not kids at a mall. Get real. |
|
Um under Armour is not pulling out of locust point, which is one of the safest neighborhoods in the city.
And I don’t believe for a minute you saw 4-5 non homeless (or homeless for that matter) lying in the ground and multiple brawls. Try harder. |
| Cool story bro. |
| Next time you visit Baltimore, step out of your Cadillac Escalade and don't be so afraid of public spaces. |
Yes, I really did. Don’t need to try. You’re really cool huh? |
Nope a Toyota. You guys are all so cool bro. Not fitting your profile. Just surprised as what I saw. |
Because it never happened. Bogus. |

If you’re a Baltimore County native who used to come into Fells Point to drink and has lived in Northern Virginia for the last 25 years, please don’t come.
You’ve never lived in Baltimore and are already complaining about it before you’ve even moved here. Stay away Nobody wants you here and you will nothing to our quality of life. |
| Look OP what do you want from us? Your 1 brief experience - if accurate - is so far from what those of us who live in the city know. We stay here bc we like it. We do not routinely- ever? - witness brawls, step over 4-5 bodies, etc. your description sounds fantastical. You can “cool bro” us all you want but we live here and are telling you your perception is completely wrong. |
| I was also in the vicinity of the stadium yesterday and I didn’t see any brawls or ppl on the ground lmao. |
| Now I live on NoVa …. The end of the world is a cul de sac, op. |
Yes. Because these issues don’t originate in the city. I’m sure those “wild kids” leave the inner harbor alone. |
I love me a good troll. Can’t wait to see this one grow. |
