Reading several of his less heralded fiction books. Interesting and uplifting. Recommended. Library likely has some.

I just now looked him up on Wikipedia. I knew he wrote the book that was the basis for the TV show the Waltons. Wikipedia says he also created the TV show Falcon's Crest. And he wrote 9 books during his lifetime.
I had no idea he did anything more than the Waltons.

The Waltons was based on his book Spencer’s Mountain. A long time ago I enjoyed his book You Can’t Get There From Here.

Fun fact: You can visit where he lived in Schuyler, Virginia, just a little south of Charlottesville. There’s even a Waltons museum.
