This forum used to be a good source of info. Now it's just people waiting to pounce on each other with bitchy comments. It's almost as if the loonies from the nanny forum have moved over here.

I agree. I think there's one troll who is causing all the problems and delighting in making inflammatory posts. I've been trying to ignore it and not let him/her draw me into the hatefulness.

Well you know all the public schools stink right? I bet you are the only person on this website who doesn't have a child with a 99.9th percentile IQ. And you know it's all because you didn't breastfeed! And believe me your child will not go to an ivy league school because rumor has it..you sent your child to a play-based preschool that is not a feeder school. Note to self: I want my DD to follow in my footsteps....VT is good enough for me (and her). Ivy League is not good for my budget. I could tolerate UVA.

She is on the inside track, as she is in the first year at the best AAP center in FCPS....We start prepping our dogs for the CogATs next week.

Maybe it has gotten so nasty because a lot of parents pulled their kids out of private because of the economy and now they're all here instead of the private school forum.
