If your child likes field trip every week or two, go for it.

MY honest opinion no. The bus ride would be too long and not worth it. With the extra time your kids saves on transportation to school they can do an extra extracurricular activity or catch up on sleep.
If your kid did sports then you would have to drive to poolesville and pick him up bc games most don’t end until 6 pm (arranging carpools would be difficult bc most from Churchill do not attend poolesville). Any community events are obviously held at phs. If it’s a long drive parents start coming less and less to these events. In comparison to Churchill, Global is not that amazing. Maybe if your home school was Magruder or gaithersburg high school, I would consider global.
We do have a brandnew school so that’s nice, but things are constantly breaking down already and the classes feeling over filled with the poor design layout of the school.

I have one kid who attended PHS/GE and two attended RMIB. GE is a wonderful program that balances outdoor learning and in classroom rigors. I think GE provides an ideal HS education unlike other HS programs in MCPS.

The upcoming Region 4 STEM program will be at Wootton/Crown. I imagine that it will be utilizing the Blair magnet curriculum.

Personally you should move closer up county to attend the school. The program is amazing but the trek is tedious on a growing young teen's body.

Not related to Global Ecology, but don't count on this. The new regional magnets are STEM focused - this is not the historical SMCS program being replicated.
