If your DC applied to GDS or Maret for 9th, did they do a shadow day once they were admitted? we applied and i know odds of getting in anywhere, let alone to both, are slim but how would DC choose without a half- or full-day embedded at either one? I feel like DC knows very little based on just a 1 hr tour and interview.
I also wish schools publicized these in advance or at least put them on their calendar. I really wanted to email my DD's top choice and ask but I didn't. I've been keeping next week pretty open.
GDS has HS shadow days on their calendar for March 4, 9, and 10. I don’t think Maret does shadow days? You could ask, though. |

I don't know anything about Maret, but for GDS, a current HS parent will call you the weekend after decisions go out. You can ask if your child can talk to their child.
I believe Maret does indeed do a shadow day for admitted students.

Yes, GDS has several days set aside for shadow days. If I recall correctly, one is specifically set aside for 9th grade admits only, though 9th grade admits can attend the other shadow days as well. It's just that those might be with 10th grade admits, etc. My kid really enjoyed the shadow day.
