Why is it offensive for me to call someone McLean Mommy/Mom/Mama?

I've posted twice because this woman is very recognizable in her posting (she always posts about McLean high school being in disrepair). I've called her McLean Mom, a lot of people use nicknames on this forum and those don't get deleted. I didn't say anything offensive or rude. I asked her why she didn't reach out to the school board and called her McLean Mommy. Twice now she has reported and you have deleted my posts in the FCPS forum.

I am sorry that you had to suffer the trauma of having your two name-calling posts removed. I hope that over time you will be able to recover. Nevertheless, your first post was dismissive, unhelpful, and lacked substance, in addition to the name-calling. If you did not think the topic was worthy of a DCUM post, you should have just skipped it. Your second post was mostly whining about your first post being deleted.

Jeff, the same can be said for most of what you post, when you post. You seem to be on such a weird power trip here with your random deletions, snarky high school like replies and then your long winded posts that are occasionally a little interesting but mostly just babble to hear yourself talk - with plenty of name calling yourself, which apparently is okay when you do it.

I highly suggest you consider using some other moderation tools, and figure out how to be less of a personal intrusion on this board. Because well, you act like a tool about 90% of the time. I'm sure you'll respond with your usual low brow snark, but really, try to have some self reflection on this issue. People are (fake) nice to you here because they don't want to be banned because most of us enjoy this space, but you are not the draw, you're more often a problem.

And hey, just a reminder that this board is not a sophisticated platform. It can easily be recreated on the cheap, and build up an audience over time.

Well, I explained why in my original post (excerpt below), which you conveniently ignored. Your dumb intrusions are annoying and often bullying but there is some good chatter on this board. But as reminder, posters like me are what ultimately drives this little business you've created, not you. So I'd suggest you consider how your input is viewed.

That's kind of weird. Never have posted about McLean schools but we have at least 2 active threads where a monster of a parent keeps getting called out as an abusive monster. Those stay. Dunno if that's because she IS or because we don't call her a nickname. Oh well.

Do you report them? I think mostly things get deleted because other posters report them.

Guys, it’s Jeff’s site. It’s FREE to use. Therefore, Jeff can do what he wants by way of moderating. And he doesn’t owe you an explanation. Is it annoying to you? Sounds like it. But trying to threaten Jeff with a vague “or else I’ll go elsewhere” just makes you sound silly.

Fwiw, I’ve had a couple/few posts deleted over the years. That’s just the way it goes.

I agree with these posters. You’re kinda an a$$hole. This is my very last post here. Ban me for life. It’s such a time sink and to know that you get paid for every eyes in this forum is a bit sickening given your so mean, biased, and rudely opinionated.
