MSMC

Anyone know what is happening with the MSMC amidst the boundary and program changes?

They have not started looking at middle schools for possible program changes. I would expect any changes would occur in 2028-2029 at the earliest.

The other thing to keep in mind is the upcoming elementary boundary study that will also be looking at possible elementary and middle schools to close (closure would likely be in 2029 or 2030.). I would not be surprised if one of the MSMC schools is on the list to close-- there are several old and under-capacity middle schools in that part of the county, and I suspect they'll either close one of the MSMC schools or Odessa Shannon.

Wow! You all don't pay attention. The MSMC choice is gone in 2027. Schedules will also change in 2027 to meet the state requirement for 60 minutes iof math every day. Enrollment at all MSMC is going way fine. For example, Loeiderman goes from 989 to 653 or something. That’s several less teachers. It’s for the better as the school is way overcrowded. They needed to eliminate the out of bounds kids a long time ago.

This has not been publicly announced or even floated... they said they are postponing assessing any changes to middle school programs. If you have heard something different on this somewhere, please share your sources. Otherwise please don't spread misinformation.
