NE edition, for 6th grade. Academically inclined, introverted kid, we would have liked Basis!
1. Stuart Hobson 2. Inspired 3. Eliot-Hine 4. Truth Montessori 5. Jefferson I might throw Latin on there because I have extra spots. Any good options I am missing? |

John Francis Education Campus. If you can stomach the very long commute.
Hardy, same. |
|
I did DCI when I was in that position. Spots are very few but you might get lucky. Same goes for Latin.

What's your IB?
Agree with throwing in DCI and Latin, you have 12 spots and may as well use them! |
|
EL Haynes to fill out the end of your list. If you don't mind the commute.
I'm curious what you think of Wells Middle School. |
I would also put Hardy on there. Do the commute and see if it is tolerable. but it's the best school on the list IMO. |
(and they take a lot of lottery applicants) |

I think it's a question of how badly you want to avoid whatever your IB is-- maybe it's Brookland, McKinley Middle, Wheatley or Browne?
If you like Truth, maybe put Lee at the end of your list. I know it feels weird to come in for 6th, but knowing that a lot of Lee kids go on to Truth and you might too, it's not crazy. There's CHML but I hope it doesn't come to that. Ditto Two Rivers. Maybe give Friendship Woodridge Middle a serious look. Their stats are not bad-- Accountability Score is 79th percentile. But I think you've got very high chances of getting into Eliot-Hine and Jefferson OOB, so your list is fine as it currently stands. |
