Do MISA test scores really mean anything?

We returned to MCPS last year for my kid to start 9th grade. I was just looking on ParentVue and noticed she got a MISA Life Sciences Report published in December. Looks like she took it in Spring of 2025 and scored in Level 4 which puts her in the top 8% in the state. Do these scores actually mean anything? Do they go anywhere or is it basically a pat on the back?

A pat on the back for the district? State mandated? Do schools use it to evaluate a teacher?

They were 20% of their second semester Bio grade.
