Any intel on buses? High school drop off went okay? How was car drop off?
So far so smooth
Are the buses skipping stops? Like the email mentioned? How would the kids know that?
Our school had a couple of routes that were modified, and the school emailed out the info.
It's an ice rink by many bus stops. Hope your kid has on their finest ice skate shoes. Pack back up shoes. Dress warmly thankfully not as cold as other days. They can't climb the even taller snow banks after some streets got another round of clearing in the wee hours
For a bus to Westland middle school, the bus was 30 mins late and the bus depot call number was slammed, unsurprisingly.
Same with our ES |
Have you seen some of these roads?! What did folks think was going to be happening today....academic learning? It's already a delayed ooening. The day was for students to see their peers after a week if they didn't see them during sledding in the neighborhood or online playing games; release social energy annoying teachers; feed students; get meals to FarmS before a closure tomorrow; teachers who were able to make it in to assign work; go over expectations for half year classes. Etc.
Everything seemed pretty normal at my ES drop-off. Teacher sent out learning schedule last night. Roads are good enough.... |
My high schooler's bus was about 20 minutes late (9:30 instead of 9:10). Not that bad all things considered.
Middle schooler took the bus and got picked up on time. Walked the elementary kids to school, they had fun climbing the big snow mounds on the way. No issues with everyone getting there, just a little slower.
ES was fine, we had to load the bus in the cross street. Parents were cheering, it was kind of pathetic.
No doubt those kids were cheering too once they got inside the bus |
Our ES bus super late (school sent message), so we drove to school. No big deal.
No modifications. Could not get near the bus stop.
