So many disgusting posters

Are they representative of your elite private school parents? Using their kids for social climbing? Fixers on the Ivies? Extremely entitled and yet lacking of a worldly view.

What specifically do you find disgusting? Your inability to communicate that would be a barrier to a real discussion.

What’s with the influx lately of people without kids in private school coming into this forum with a clear desire to stir things up?

I’m a private school parent and find a lot of the posters to meet OP’s description…

Great. I went to public school in a wealthy NYC suburb and knew plenty of parents who were the exact same way.

Ironically, it's an anonymous message board, so folks can say what they want with no repercussions. In fact, there's no way to know whether it's the same posters over and over. Ignore it and move on.

It can be a bit much sometimes but I appreciate that this is an anonymous board. So many people censor themselves so it is illuminating to see what (some) people really think.

newsflash - i don't live in DC and can comment here. I also can say stupid ****. Take that for what it's worth.

+1. I don’t know any parents at my kids’ school that act or talk like people here. It’s pretty wild.

I have kids in both private and public and the public school parents are just as wealthy if not more but less into focusing on vapid status.

LOL

— someone who went to Chappaqua public schools and watched as kids got Range Rovers for their 16th birthdays and heard moms talk openly about their daughters needing to lose weight

Like the one who said going to Potomac is great because they can meet influential people. Whenever someone questions the tuition, someone comes out to yell how much of a loser and how poor the pp is. So much backlash against and gossip about certain schools (NCS, Holton, etc.), and so many insults to public schools and parents.

What strikes me the most is this overall showing off of wealth and influence, and sometimes racist comments toward people who are less fortunate.
