| Can you please email the students what the next chapter will be to cover, and maybe the link to the study guide? Everyone is gojng to have so much work to make up next week, I’m really worried about sleep/health as they try to catch up on the missed time. I’m sure you’re all stressed about covering the material prior to May 4 or whatever. |
| My Goodness!!! |
| I did it already but unclear whether my students are doing anything. They seem to be actively ignoring me |
| I sent an email out on Tuesday just checking in on them. 3 out of 120 students opened the email so far |
| My kid got an assignment due today (it was assigned on mon or tues). This is an entirely new class and new teacher as it's a semester course. |
|
I’ve already done so. Twice. I also sent a form requesting feedback. I’ve received 2 responses total. I don’t think students are as concerned as the OP is.
Also: why don’t you encourage your child to reach out to the teachers they haven’t heard from? Wouldn’t that be more productive h to an DCUM? |
They definitely do not want to get tagged by th teacher as the pain in the butt student! I appreciate those teachers that have emailed — I’m sure lots of kids are ignoring but since this is gojng so long I think at least some might want to take advantage to get ahead a little rather than doubling up over the next few weeks. One of my kids teacher specifically emailed to tell them NOT to start on the reading which I guess is also helpful. |
| My kids won't be doing double work when we get back. I'm just chopping a week out of the schedule |
They will likely read it when you are sleeping |
Are you an AP teacher? I don’t think the AP teachers can realistically do that, or the math teachers. |
| My dc received an email from their APUSH teacher with the future reading and assignments. We really appreciated it. |
Did you not get a course syllabus? My 9th grader knows exactly what to read and prepare for. |
No, we don’t. That would be really great. We get week to week assignments in basically all the classes. |
None of our course syllabus have information |
Weird. My school mandates we post a semester long syllabus in the first week. We have the option to posting the assignments in weekly modules and keeping them locked until we are ready to assign them. |
