PGCPS Summer School Pay and Positions

Hi everyone,

I am leaving my current school district to transfer to PGCPS. In my current district, anyone who wants a summer position is able to get a position and you do not need permission of your school principal. However, its seems based on the PGCEA teacher contract I read a teacher can only teach summer school with the approval of their principal, at least five (5) or more total years of experience in PGC and teachers seem limited to a maximum of 3 consecutive years of summer school teaching.

Is this the case?

Does any PG County teacher have any experience with summer school? Can you chime in here please?
