Has Anyone Seen “The Housemaid?”

Anonymous
As a huge aficionado of the book, I would love to see this film.

But am not sure if the film can live up to the book so wanted to know if anyone on here has seen it & if so, their thoughts.
TIA.

I saw it. I like it. I did not read the book tho.

A little long but good entertainment.

What's up with all the marketing of movie posts? I know the industry is hurting but jeez.

Different poster but I would be surprised if this were planted. The movie has made over $100 million and is considered a huge success given its budget. There’s already a sequel in the works with Sydney Sweeney.

But anyway, I enjoyed the movie a lot. I had read the book but had forgotten most of the plot. Books/movies like this always have some plot holes you have to ignore… But overall, it was entertaining and satisfying.

I want to see it. But last time I took my kid to a movie it was $38 for the 2 of us just for tickets alone. I’m too broke to pay that anymore unless it’s a really special movie with great scenes I want to see on a big screen.
I’ll Wait til it’s streaming

I have the money but lack of bathroom breaks and subtitles plus the fact you can’t do something while watching (I usually clean up) means I’ll wait for it to stream too

It was campy. In the end, I liked it! But go with low expectations and it will be enjoyable
