| Does anyone know of any day camp summer swim options for a 9 yo swimmer who wants to refine strokes? Not old enough for the sleepaways but doesn’t want to do a learn to swim class or just splash around in the pool. TIA. |
| I would just do private lessons |
| Join a summer pool and join the swim team. go as much as you can. |

OP here, she does summer swim. Thanks for suggestions. |
You can check out USA swimming as they sometimes have options. Otherwise just do s&t clinics. |
| Howard University has a swim camp over the summer that is not sleep away. They have a limited slot. |
| Navy Swim Camp has a day camper option. |
| St. Albans runs a summer swimming camp for swimmers age 6-12. |

OP, there really isn't a good day camp option in the DMV for competitive swimmers unfortunately.
A bit further out in MD, here are some day/commuter programs you can look at: -Navy Swim Camp. My son did this for a few years and really enjoyed it. They have extended day and overnight programs. But this camp usually sells out early. -UMD. They have a commuter option. https://www.ussportscamps.com/swim/nike/nike-swim-camp-at-the-university-of-maryland -John Hopkins https://www.ussportscamps.com/swim/nike/maryland-swim-camp-johns-hopkins-university -Loyola https://www.ussportscamps.com/swim/nike/swim-camp-loyola-university-maryland |
