Accutane moisturizer

Anonymous
My kid is 6 weeks in to taking accutane and is very flaky. The derm suggested Cerave but it’s not making a dent. he tried some of my cicaplast which was a bit better. If you found something that worked very well please share!

My son used Aquaphor and this, https://www.amazon.com/SEPHORA-Collection-Nourishing-Moisturizer-Prebiotics/dp/B0BBSLQ51G
which was recommended by a Sephora staff member who was dealing with acne and it has worked great without making his acne worse. I humidifier at night also helps.

This moisturizer is top notch. I’m extremely sensitive and dry and this is my holy grail.

Another vote for Aquaphor. And lots of Burt’s bees for lips.

Either this one or the Avene Cicalfate. These are widely recognized as the two best barrier repair creams after something like Accutane. Another great barrier cream is the one from Aestura, which is a Korean brand (that one is great for us dry-skin moms with more mature skin).
