Sex education

When does mcps introduce sex education like teaching puberty for boy/girl, sex, pimple, body odor, and body development like menstrual cycle something like that? How was it? Too much details or on point or not useful/too awkward? Our pediatrician office has a class for boy 4th graders and up & girl 3rd graders and up to teach all these above, but it costs money to sign up for both the kid and parents. If mcps will teach it, I would not bother to sign up.

5th grade. I think it depends on whether your child is an early bloomer whether that is too late.

Oh, I have a boy and it seemed pretty detailed about puberty from what he described. The school will usually show parents curriculum in advance.

My kids were taught about sex trafficking in 6th grade at Pyle. Unfortunately.

Why is that unfortunate.

Don’t rely on the school or pay for a class.
Get a book, there are many out there. Talk to your kids, let them have the books to look at too. Tell them they can come to you with any questions.

What ever one works best for your family. Look on Amazon. Below Five sometimes has some too.
