Did contractors get paid during shutdown or back pay?

DH worked and was paid, because that's how his contract ran.
In the past he has been benched and paid. Most large companies can afford it (whether or not they choose to). |

| Depends on if the contract was prefunded. My spouse did not and they don't get PTO, just billable hours so we were out of luck. |

+1. Some of my work was stopped but some wasn't. I did billable work when I could and took some LWOP. Never going to see that money, so my income this year will be significantly less than last year thanks to program/contract cuts and the shutdown. |
