DD is getting a new bike for her 10th birthday. The last bike I bought her was during the pandemic and now she has more than outgrown it. When I went into a bike store, the guy said that she would be in the 24 inch size. When she tried it out though, he said he needed to put the seat up to the maximum height. I am a bit worried that if we get this bike, maybe she won’t be using it for two or three years. He said the adult bikes would be too big for her. Thoughts? |
| 26” bikes exist, they just aren’t common and may need to be special ordered. A woman’s small might be worth trying (are the handlebars too far away, can she squeeze the brakes, etc.) It will depend on how tall she is and where she is in puberty. I am 5’9” and stopped growing at 11 - I say that to mean that this is a wild age for girls. |

This. They are the best size for steering and control. Which is why they are trying to phase them out. They always try to ruin things so you have to keep "chasing that product" and buying new stuff. |
