| I'm wondering if it's possible to get a prescription for this even if not technically overweight or diabetic. I've heard it helps with so many other issues (prediabetes, heart issues, etc.) and would like to try it. |
| yes, anyone can ask |
| Yes. Whether you’ll get it depends on why and on your doctor. |
| Has anyone had a doctor at one medical prescribe this for them? |
| Yes |
I asked my one medical doctor a two years ago and was shot down. Was about 20 lbs overweight with high cholesterol. |
| Get a compound from OrderlyMeds. |
| My doctor doesn't suggest them saying everyone gains the weight right back once they stop taking them |
| You can request anything. But requesting ain’t getting. |
| I just got mine online because I'm sure they'd have said no because I'm not overweight enough. Fwiw it's been amazing and I feel like a normal person again (also exercising a lot and eating very well) Will I be on them forever? Maybe. It's fine and I don't mind being on a low dose, not that expensive considering the huge physical and mental benefits. |
| If you get it online, do you lie about your weight if you’re not actually overweight? Or do they not care. |
| My doctor said he didn’t prescribe when I asked, even though I had risk factors, so I got them online. A year later he was thrilled with my weight and test results. I wish he’d prescribed it for me. |
It depends on the company. Some want a full body pic, others are fine just accepting stats, others want a video intake "interview." |
Did you ever go back to that doctor? Did they see your test results? |
That is no different than what happens if you stop dieting. The intervention needs to be permanent if you want to permanently maintain the weight loss. |
