Apple.com charges on my CC — no idea what

Anonymous
I can’t get through to Apple. not in my apple purchases? My daughter only buys 1x month not 8 charges? There is no human to talk to.
How does one sort this out?

Oh your kid has 100% been buying extras or whatever on a game or some shit like that

No she hasn’t. No one recognizes these charges and no email confirmations. It must happen often as I googled it and it comes up as possible scam.
I just want to know how to reach a human at Apple.com to negate the credit charges. They are not linked to anyone’s account.

It is likely a scam. Do not call the number they give and do not click any links.

Can you call the CC and go through them?

Look under subscriptions on your Apple ID in settings.

One time my kid got a prank call and they googled how to figure out who called you. It was a service that said it was free so they signed up, but didn’t read the fine print that there was a charge each month after that. It was near impossible to find.

Not if it’s using Apple Cash

What are the charges? Like, what does your credit card statement say they are? Do they look different than the regular charge that you usually see (sometimes the wording is slightly different). Is the phone number attached to them the same as the phone number attached to a legitimate charge (my credit card shows the company, phone number, etc for most items on our statement if we click on them for details). That might help someone help you identify what exactly is going on.

This happens to me too. It is enormously frustrating and it ought to be illegal. We have one charge that happens every month for $6.99 - I've checked all phones for subscriptions and there are none listed. It is so frustrating.

Contest the charges with your CC provider - both the historical charges and going forward. If the expense is unknowingly tied to something you need/want, you'll find out soon enough.

This. Someone probably signed up for a subscription without realizing it.

The trouble is you can't contest apple charges - they seem to have a work around where Apple is not a charge - but they can't say what the specific charge thing is.

My Apple account does not have any credit card associated with it. I used an Apple Gift Card for $20 bought at the grocery when I created it.

I also refuse to use iCloud, Apple Music, or any subscription anything.

NP. Cancel that card and Apple Cash. I do not have Apple Cash enabled on my phone.
