Hello!
We are currently exploring soccer options for girls. We are looking at pre-travel programs for 26-27 at VSA and Loudoun (really don't have a desire to go to Revolution). In an ideal world, we would eventually transition to travel at the same club. Any feedback on the girls programs at these clubs? |
| Whichever one is the shortest drive. I can't imagine how fields in Haymarket and Leesburg are being reasonably debated for "pre travel" (what is that? 7 year olds? come on now.) |
We live between the two locations. |
Agreed. You will get a lot of snooty responses but the end of this day, this is more accurate. Both clubs are qualified enough. Stay close to home until it really matters. |
Then you need to look into the fields they'll be practicing at for ages after pre travel. Vsa does Long park, Howison I believe and there's one more but can't remember the name. Loudoun does Hanson in Aldie, Loudoun soccer park and Bolen. |
| I’d go where your kid has friends. Both those clubs will probably have comparable programs. |
| No knock on Loudoun, I’ve just found VSA teams at that age to be noticeably well coached relative to the area. |
| Revolution |
| Out of your 3 choices VSA easily has better coaching and probably one of best run clubs in the area. |
This! |
Run from Revolution like the plague |
| Sounds like you live in Willowsford. At that age, the kids your DD(s) knows at school and in the neighborhood will play for Loudoun or Rev. Pre-travel, Loudoun has a large league with the most competition, but less options for technical training. |
| We did pre-travel with Loudoun and liked the program. |
| Your kid is 7 years old. Let her play with her friends. |
| VSA much better program than Loundon unless you live right there next to Loundon fields |
