Inspector General finds procurement violations within MCPS - active employees are double-dipping as contractors

Anonymous
I wish Taylor would pay attention to the significant administrative shortcomings of MCPS:

The problem is that Taylor himself is one of the shortcomings

Here we go again. Another Black eye for MCPS.

Who will be held accountable?

Mrs. Ivon Alfonso-Windsor is MCPS' Chief Financial Officer. Perhaps the COO Adnan Mamoon?

I'd be interested in knowing the names of the 7 employees who double-dipped.

Who are the employees that were double dipping and will they be held responsible? My guess is... not a chance.

The report says this took place during FY23 and FY24, so McKnight/Felder era.

Take as old as time. Nothing will change.

This is disgusting. Such a shame.

Salaried employees need to forfeit the contract payments outright. Compensation for non-salaried employees and contractors should be adjusted to their regular hourly wage or their overtime wage (whatever would have been appropriate based on hours worked). If any did the contract work during their regular work hours or if they used their positions to get the contract work, they should be terminated.

Simply wonderful.

The fact that people are not as outraged about this as they are about the Boundary Analysis or Programs Proposal is why MCPS keeps getting away with their corruption and mismanagement.

Nope, she had left MCPS and was legislative analyst for the county council during those years.

I suspect people aren’t outraged because they know in the current climate this exist. They do that when someone leaves manuals are not quickly updated but determinations made about who the new approved is. That sometimes principals retire and then come back as interim principals or assistant principals at other schools. That while the incremental approvals were made without the BoE this report doesn’t says these were for inappropriate services.

As was indicated, there is more info that needs to be reported before people get upset
