| I have a package that has been bouncing between Dulles, Merrifield, and my local post office for two days. It is scanned at the post office right by my house and then is inexplicably sent back out. I am so frustrated. WTF is wrong with USPS and will I ever get this package? It's an important item... |
| I had the exact same issue with the last two packages I had delivered USPS. We live a mile from the major postal hub, and for two days it would be “out for delivery” and then “moving through the system”. Funny thing was, our usual mail was being delivered, but not the package. So why not? I still have no clue what happened. They did both eventually get delivered two days later, without an update to the tracking. |
| This has happened to me multiple times. I have no idea what this ridiculousness is. It delays delivery by multiple days for zero reason. |

Say thank you to Trump's sycophants this will only get worse.
Who owns the USPS right now? Opps could it be Republicans trying to privatize the USPS Oh how in the world would that be.... |

USPS tracking is amazing.
Sometime in history, there was a meeting. Larlo: Tracking shows that too many of our packages are late. Should we add people and/or train/pay them better? Should we improve logistics? Barlo: What if we just changed the tracking to show that the packages were delivered, as long as we put them on a truck and meant it in our hearts? Darlo: Okay but isn't the whole point of tracking to show where the package actually is and when? Carlo: Barlo, you've earned yourself a performance bonus. |
| USPS has been on the decline in terms of service and reliability for years now. We send packages through UPS now. |
+1 I've had USPS packages delivered to the wrong house, packages that show up on the tracking as sitting in our local post office in Fairfax and then the next day they're scanned in Richmond, packages that show as delivered but they're still on the truck, packages completely lost that never made it to an "out for delivery" status. I use UPS or FedEx only now, no exceptions. |
I would prefer to use them. Unfortunately, the seller of the item only uses USPS. |
