EA vs. RD for low- to mid-level VA state schools

Anonymous
Does it matter? DC has a 4.1 GPA (weighted) + several APs, including a couple of 4s. Test optional. Not a spectacular resume, but not shabby. She decided she wats to apply to a couple of more schools (think Radford/Longwood) but missed the EA deadlines.

I think it’s fine. Mine is applying to a few Va schools regular decision.

I think with her GPA and for state schools in that particular tier, it will be just fine and she hasn’t missed out on anything.

A 4.1W from FCPS will get you definitely into almost every VA public school regular decision in Virginia except for UVA, William and Mary and Virginia Tech. Maybe not VCU arts either.

Radford and Longwood have around 90% acceptance rate. Your kid will be fine RD with a 4.1.
