Anyone else feel these ads are offensive? Seriously, eight hundred HER love?? FFS!
So heteronormative and kinda cringy. |
| I always feel bad for the brother they force to live in the diamond mines. |
| Zero idea what you're talking about. |
“Hi I’m Ronnie Mervis blah blah blah . . . HER love.” |
|
I’m surprised that ad is still around.
So hoony ( my made up word for nerdy). |
|
Poor Zed |
Ronnie knows his market. If you think you have a better idea you should go into the diamond business. |
| I know the Mervis family. They are wonderful, kind people. |
2021 called for you - they want their performative outrage back.
|
Given that hetero is the actual norm and I’m fairly certain that the largest majority of diamonds are purchased by men for women, it makes sense. Are you hoping that people of other orientations could be brought into the whole idea of buying expensive baubles for their partner? Yes, let’s pressure everyone to do this in the name of inclusion. |
I just read this in his voice. I freaking hate that accent now. |
Diamonds are heteronormative and cringy. |
+1. “So heteronormative “ = ridiculously dated term put out to pasture long ago |
Thank you for putting into words how I feel when I see ridiculous posts like the OP’s. |
