| Help me decode what people really mean when they say someone is an A, B or C player. I get A's are the stars, the go getters, the winners, the ones who make C suite. Im unclear about B and C-- are these like continuous discrete scales? Sometimes it feels like B is worse than C? Someone told me that I am a clear C player and that's a good thing. Is it a good thing? Can I still move out of C into A within the same company or would I need to move out? Thank you |
| We do not use that lingo |
Copilot says: The Real Dynamics • A players drive innovation and growth. • B players provide stability and execution. • C players are usually the focus of performance improvement plans or eventual exits. So it seems basically elementary school lingo? Inane. |
| C employees are going to be the bulk of the labor force. There's nothing wrong with being C level - organizations that are oversaturated at the A level have their own problems. |
| I am so confused. |
| Glad I’m in gov-mint. Where everyone’s a Z player. |
| Why is a C player better than a B player? |
Maybe it’s the old saying “ A students work for B students at companies started by C students“ ? |
| C players are the producers, they tend to do what they're told and are happy for a raise. B players are the intermediates - they actually have thoughts and concerns - they can move things forward or hold things up. |

OP you work with stupid people, so you will fit in just fine.
The C players plat for the C Sites like Game of Thrones. The A players are the A-holes no one likes. The B players bumble around like Bees. |
