I am looking for a great pair of black leggings. Not the Lululemon Align.
I'd like it to be good for exercise and for wearing around; doesn't show sweat (way too many do); opaque; doesn't slide down; controls everything in the stomach area. |
| I randomly picked up a pair in Eddie Bauer last winter and they are very nice quality, thickness and stay in place. |
Link? |
| I swear by the Old Navy Powersoft Side-Pocket leggings. I have had them last for years - I just bought a couple of new pairs this season and it seems the quality is still good. |
| Try these brands: Iuga, Baleaf, and Laite Hebe |
| Athleta ultra high rise elation |
| Has anyone tried Pact leggings? I keep getting ads from them and like that they are cotton but hate to buy something without trying it on. |

I love these and have multiple pairs. It's a balance between comfort and control -- they aren't sucking me in like a corset, but they smooth out my tummy area and keep everything looking sleek and smooth.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G58K9LQ The don't work for the dead of winter. For that, I like the WoolX leggings. Not the Stella -- those are meant for layering and are not totally opaque (and don't offer any compression). The Piper or the Frost Duralite are good. It's nice to have at least one pair of leggings you can wear on their own in January. |
I have multiple Pact items including their joggers but would not bother with their leggings because one of the features of their cotton is that it does not stretch that much. It stretches *some* and I have come to love my Pact joggers after initially finding them too stiff because the cotton breaks in and gets very comfortable. But I don't think that would work with leggings -- I want something that is going to be second skin from the first wear. |
| People still wear leggings? |
I tried twice - wanted them to work but felt like the crotch kept sliding down on me and they bunched a bit and weren’t as smooth as Aligns…which makes sense, since it’s a sustainable-organic-gentle-affordable clothing line sold at Whole Foods, vs athleticwear that is engineered prioritizing basically appearance and performance only |
No idea about Pact, although I’m getting their ads, too, but try Yummie Rachel leggings if you’re interested in cotton. I think size up. |

Zella Nordstrom's house brand.

+1 these are my go-to |
| I’ve tried a ton of brands and my favorite are Beyond Yoga for comfort and Rhone for function. |
