Patio light poles

Most versions I’m seeing stick in the ground. I am looking for some that I could just clip to the side of my deck. Do any exist?

Clip to the side? Probably not. Screw them to something instead.

use cable ties to secure them to the spindles, pole, or railing?

Maybe just cable tie them to the deck railing? This would just be to temporarily hang some lightweight lights, not have high tension cables or anything.

The reason they are secured to the ground is so they don't fly away in the wind. You hoping to zip tie them to your railings?

The chapel at my college had them! They had clamps that we'd attach to the end of each pew.

Now you have me wanting to track them down. I'll circle back if I find something!

Thank you, PP. this is the closest to what was thinking for my string lights. We bought a rowhouse with artificial turf and it’s one long piece, so I didn’t want to put a hole in it.
