| What do you all think: should NFL teams play one another in other countries? |
I think I was a long way to go for the Commanders to get their ass kicked. They are playing in other countries to export the sport. Happens all the time. |
| Maybe better teams could play instead |
| Stadium looks pretty empty. It’s weird that they are talking about Paul Tagliabue. As if anyone in Spain gives a shit. |
| Who was the stripper who sang the National Anthem? Beautiful voice but omg what was she wearing? |
| Well, they lost. Again. Against a team who has a similar record as them. "Maybe next season." |
| The only reason I know about this is because I usually watch the CBS Sunday Morning news show at that time and was very surprised to see a football game on that early instead. Even though the time makes sense since it’s in Madrid, Madrid itself makes no sense to me. |
| Neither team deserved to win that game. |
| If the NFL is going to do showcase games in Europe, they should certainly choose better teams. I only watched the last ten minutes and it was the sloppiest football I've ever seen. An embarrassment for the NFL. |
Yeah it was a really bad game. I agree the NFL always chooses poor matchups for the Europe games, and I don't think they ever choose a divisional matchup. It's weird because they supposedly want to market the NFL more in Europe yet that game converted no one. I heard from someone who went that there was a relatively high number Americans who travelled in from the US for the game, whereas the ones in Germany tend to attract a lot of expats/military and locals. |
Yes. |
| only if they pledge allegiance to their hands |
As the NFL has begun to have more of these, they are pushing to get more teams involved and not just the dregs. There was a period that it seemed like Jacksonville as playing a game in the UK every year - and they were because their owner was also open to it. The game in Dublin with the Steelers and Vikings was pretty good and the Steelers wanted to play there as well with the late Dan Rooney, team owner, also serving as Ambassador to Ireland. Also have heard similar that there were many more USA based fans than locals that you will see at the UK, Germany based games. While there are followers of US football in Spain, I don't think it's near the same concentration as elsewhere in Europe. |
Many of the teams are. Some players just aren't ready and it's showing. Sanders, anyone in that game last weekend? Just because your dad playd in NFL doesn't mean you should too. Yes he is young, there is time. |
Yes missed Sun morning show. Did they ever repair the morning show? |
