My husband and I are considering of moving to Northern Westchester. Aside from property taxes that are really high can anyone share their pros/cons and general experiences if you have made the move and like it? What is the community of young families like? Food and culture? How are the elementary schools?
Schools are good to excellent, many areas sre on well water and have more rural infrastructure. Politically it’s more conservative than lower Westchester albeit with plenty of liberal pockets. Lots are large.
we moved to Chappaqua and wish we made that move sooner. The community amenities are first rate like to county parks and beaches
You're talking about an area larger than Brooklyn and Queens combined so more detail will serve you well.
try Scarsdale or the river towns for an easier commute. but it will be more expensive the more south you go
Which part of northern Westchester? Ossining much different from Lakeland much different from Katonah etc.
