What happened to the SR forum?

I understand why it’s locked and I’m glad it is but why delete the pages? How come you didn’t delete the whole thing. Hope this doesn’t come across as mean.

That thread has been around since May. It was 51 pages long before I started deleting. I ha have had, and probably will not have, time to read the entire thing. But, I assume that there is some useful information in the first 40 pages or so. I don't see any reason to potentially throw out the baby with the bathwater. I deleted what I thought was necessary to make the thread acceptable for archival purposes.

BTW, huge numbers of the posts that I removed were posted from the school's IP address.

She means thread. It was a thread about Stone Ridge or Sacred Heart or whatever it is. Until today, I thought those were two different schools.

Not exactly. Nobody who identified themselves as being from the school contacted me. However, many reports of posts in that thread came from the school's IP address. One reason that I locked the thread is that there were both posts from the school and reports from the school. I sort of felt like I was caught in the crossfire.

There is a school called Sacred Heart in DC. A little Preschool to 8th grade parish school in Columbia Heights that is bilingual.

There is also Stone Ridge School "of the Sacred Heart", which means that it was founded by the Society of the Sacred Heart, an order of women religious.

No one refers to Stone Ridge as "Sacred Heart", but it's part of a network of Sacred Heart schools across the world. Kind of like how no one refers Gonzaga or Georgetown "Jesuit" as if it was their name, but they're part of a network of Jesuit schools.

Sacred Heart School was not founded by the Society of the Sacred Heart. It was founded by Dominican sisters.
