Why did Kris and Kim delete photos of Harry and Meghan?

Harry and Meghan attended Kris Jenner's birthday party this weekend, as we all know. I don't see what the big deal is since that is clearly who they are and always have been. At least Meghan. However, there is a lot of noise around the fact that Kris and Kim both posted photos of Harry and Meghan at the party they later deleted. Kim later deleted it from her carousel (the actual post on the grid) and Kris deleted from her stories (the ones that stay up only for a day.) Why would they do this? Some theories and my opinions on them:

1) Harry and Meghan were not invited initially - This one makes no sense. If this is why they took them down then why post them in the first place?

2) Meghan and/or Harry asked to have them removed - Ok, so why pose in them in the first place? Why attend at all when it was obvious there would be cameras?

3) The palace people asked to have them removed - The only reason I could think they would care about this is because Harry was wearing a poppy for British Remembrance Day to a Kardashian party.

Thoughts on this mystery?
