Valerie Harper: Died in 2019.
Cloris Leachman: Died in 2021.
Mary Wilson: Died in 2021.

Kirstie Alley: Died in 2022.
Jerry Springer: Died in 2023.

Some of the ones who were young, had major drug problems and addictions. Celebs, especially ones who find fame early, often do. So that probably bumps their numbers up a little beyond the general population.

Yes, and DWTS is full of D listers, and D listers are D list for a reason. Addiction problems affecting their work and reliability being a common one.

Yeah -- I was also surprised by the number of DWTS contestants who have died.

On to the current crop:

Robert -- Irwin is clearly going to benefit from his fan favorite status -- I mean, the facetime call with Prince Williams alone was worth a huge bump in fan votes!

Whitney -- It's totally unfair for her as a college dance major to be competing here. OTOH, she is clearly the best dancer.

Alix -- has the best chance of knocking out Whitney. Go Alix!!!

Jordan -- most improved . . . and she totally surprised me by winning the relay against Alix last night, so you never know . . .

Dylan -- Yeah, he takes his shirt off, but he is totally stiff in expression and posture (His body has "no texture", as Derek would say.)

Elaine -- Like Jordan, you never know. Elaine could be a potential come from behind winner

I think the production is favoring Robert Irwin. He is great, but overall the dancing this season has been great and any one of the remaining contestants could be a winner.

Last night's show was fantastic. A great tribute to 20 years.
