Weather geek here. I see where both Justin Berk and Doug Kammerer are both predicting up to 40 inches of snow this year.
Also for temps to be colder than usual. What does everyone think? |
| Bring on the snow! |
| "everyone" think ughhhh |
I hope “everyone” responds. As for me, bring on the snow. |
| Ugh. I thought it was supposed to be milder |
|
OP here, sorry about the grammar! In my defense, I'm not very educated.
Looks like people are looking forward to it. |
| I heard from other sources it would be a bad year for snow and cold. Should be interesting… |
| Bring it!! |
| I’m conflicted. I don’t like cold or snow, but I work in a school so don’t mind the days off. But hate shoveling and looking at the dirty old snow, and dealing with the sand all over my driveway and in my garage. |
| Would be great for killing off ticks, so I guess I would try my best to tolerate it. |
| Its so strange everywhere else reported warmed than usual and not much snow at all. |
|
I prefer mild weather OR dry cold. Snow is a distant third.
The only things worse than snow are ice, freezing rain, and rain that froze - i.e. typical DC winter. |

NO THANKS
we had enough last year to last for several years. |

I thought initially meteorologists were saying it would be warmer, possibly because of La Niña. But in the last few weeks forecasts have been trending colder and snowier.
I would be OK with one snow of maybe 6 inches that would melt in less than a week and a few weeks of cold weather and then back to our usual 40s and lower 50s. But clearly I have no say in this. |
| I would be happy for the snow. I'm from Michigan and have been missing it. But we just moved out to the Prince William boondocks and our very long driveway is going to be an issue even though we have a big snow blower thing that we bought from the prior owners. |
