The "40 colleges" that actually make up DCUM's "top 20" list!

Anonymous
It's hard to follow the threads on here when people reference "Top 20" but are talking about up to 40 different colleges. Why are there 40 different colleges that people refer to as the "top 20"?

So are these the "40 colleges" that DCUM means when they reference the "Top 20" that Lazlo is going to or dreaming of?

Princeton, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Yale, UChicago, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, UPenn, Calltech, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia, UC Berkeley, Rice, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Carnegie Mellon, U Michigan, Notre Dame, WashU, UVA, Georgetown, UC San Diego, Emory, UNC Chapel Hill, UW, Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore, Pomona, Bowdoin, Wellesley, Claremont Mckenna, USC, UF. U of T (Austin), NYU, Tufts, UI Urbana-Champaign, UM Wisconsin

I think only 30 of the above colleges make up DCUM's top 20 tbh.

Partly because T20 refers to national universities and 18 of the schools you list are outside of the national private university category.

Eleven are state universities and seven are selective liberal arts colleges.

So, we really talk about T22 list.

Exactly.

Plus: UVA, Emory, UNC Chapel Hill, Duke, Wellesley, U of F, Georgia Tech, and U of T (Austin) are located in the SOUTH!

Not gonna happen. Ever.

UVA is not top 20 in anybody's rankings.

I think WASP is in this tier. Sure, they're a different kind of school. But Caltech and Dartmouth have little in common and yet we survived.

This site claims...
Stanford, MIT, University of Chicago, Duke, Caltech, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, Emory, Vanderbilt, Rice, and Georgetown are ivy plus schools.

Ivys, Williams, Amherst, Stanford, MIT, U of C, Duke, Caltech, Northwestern, JHU, Emory, WashU, ND, CMU, Vanderbilt, Rice, Georgetown, Berkeley, UCLA, Swarthmore, Pomona, Umich, Wellesley, UVa The ones in bold are debatable but more or less these are the elite schools in America.

The South isn’t so bad. We have great public and private universities down here.

DCUMs top 20? Are you serious? how old are you?

Please take anything this Forum says with a grain of salt.

I have wondered for fun, if you just counted by # of mentions in this forum what the t10 list would be!
